Adriana Lira continued to perform in the United States for almost three years, performing and studying with many top dancers in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2000, she moved back to Brazil and continued studying with the top dancers in Brazil; namely, Lulu Sabongi, Samira, Hayet El Haywa, and Giselle Bomentre. While studying with these top dancers, she performed in some of the top clubs in Sao Paulo including Athillo, Tangiers, Restaurant Califa, and the Estação Club.
Ever so passionate about her work, she has produced and choreographed three global Dance Festivals -- De Cairo a Zahle in 2003 and Água- fonte de vida in 2004 and Viagens e Encontrose “A Danca em multiplas expressoes” 2006 -- with participation of her students and other dancers from all over the world. In 2005 she traveled with her students to Argentina to compete in the XI Festival Mercosul competition against dancers from all over South America. She performed three original choreographies and was awarded Second Place for two of them, and Third Place for the third. In 2006 she traveled to the USA, Mexico, Argentina and Bolivia. She competed in several competitions and has one first place. She has also been certified with Confederacion Interamericana de Profesionales de Danza.
